About me
I am interested in different aspects of plant metabolism and biochemistry. Currently, I am studying the production of green leaf volatiles (GLVs) in potato by hexenal isomerase enzymes, and the effects of the resulting volatile profile on environmental signalling.
I completed my PhD at the John Innes Centre in Norwich (UK), where I worked on protein interactions in starch granule initiation in Arabidopsis and wheat. Then I did postdoctoral research at KU Leuven (Belgium), working on ethylene biosynthesis in Marchantia, before starting my current position at the University of Amsterdam in September 2025.
I joined the EPS Postdoc Council in January 2026, where I look forward to contributing to a supportive postdoc community, and improving the well-being of researchers.
