“Evolutionary Origins & Mechanisms of Cellular Quality Control”
Date: June 18th
Time:15:30-17:00
Location: C3033 (Orion)
Prof. Dagdas studies the molecular mechanisms of cellular quality control and selective autophagy in plants. His research combines cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and evolutionary approaches to understand how eukaryotic cells maintain proteome integrity, adapt to environmental challenges, and balance growth, stress responses, and immunity. His work has provided important insights into autophagy-mediated quality control during plant development and plant–microbe interactions.
