Have you ever wondered what it is like to work at one of the major global breeding companies in the Netherlands? Join us for the annual Postdoc Day 2026 for a visit to the fruit and vegetable breeding company Rijk Zwaan. Geared towards postdocs, this event will include a tour of the site and presentations from Rijk Zwaan employees, ending with a networking event.

Rijk Zwaan is a family-owned breeding company founded in 1924. They are active in more than 100 countries, working with more than 30 crops. Rijk Zwaan has a thriving R&D department, breeding future-proof varieties with genetic resistance to plant diseases, in anticipation of climate change and ever-changing market demands. Many EPS alumni have gone on to work at the company.
