On 16 September, 30 September and 14 October, NWO is organising three collaborative workshops for the NWA Call ‘Science for policy’. Knowledge from research is essential for effective policy, but is not always optimally used or complemented by new insights. This NWA programme focuses on strengthening and improving the interaction between knowledge and policy.
Aim of the Call
The purpose of this NWA programme is to investigate how knowledge from research can be optimally used by the government. This helps to better understand complex societal issues, tackle them more effectively and efficiently and learn from this deployment. For this purpose, current and possible new forms of interaction between the worlds of knowledge and policy are examined. It also examines how these forms of cooperation can be strengthened and what this should yield: better utilisable knowledge and better knowledge utilisation.
