Towards a new pesticide-free approach for increasing crop disease resilience Dr. D. (Dmitry) Lapin (Utrecht University) Diseases pose significant risks to crop production, food security and the supply of raw materials. The planned reduction in pesticide usage, coupled with ramping disease pressures, necessitates novel approaches to ensure an ample and safe production of healthy crops. EPS Call granted to Marije Vos

Together with a group of talented Master students Marije Vos followed the EPS graduate programme of 2023. During the programme she wrote her PhD proposal "The Essence of Fruitful Microspore Embryogenesis: Unveiling (epi)genetic regulatory networks through single cell analyses". She defended her proposal successfully in front of a committee and got her proposal granted. Soon she will start her PhD under the supervision of Kim  Boutilier and Michael Nodine. Congratulations Marije and enjoy the adventure of being a PhD.
