Hugo de Vries Prijs 2026 for Jelle Spooren
The Hugo de Vries Prize is awarded annually to the best doctoral thesis in the field of botany. The best botanical PhD thesis of 2026 went to Jelle Spooren (Utrecht University) for his excellent thesis on plant-microbe-soil interactions. He receives a cash prize of €5,000 from the KNBV and the Hugo de Vries Fund.
